Nelson's skills as both hairstylist and educator have been recognized in the industry for over 27 years. For 12 years he was International Training and Promotional Director for a world-wide salon group affiliated with some of the world's finest department stores. During his tenure he received personal training from the world's top stylists in New York, London, and Paris and was responsible for educating stylists in salons throughout the Western U.S. and Canada.
He has been featured as a platform artist in regional hairshows for some of the industry's most prominent manufacturers and has been called a "technical wizard" for his comprehension of the chemical and mechanical manipulation of the hair.
Nelson has styled hair and make-up for magazine, newspaper, stage, film, and video. As part of his promotional work, he was often the guest of radio and television talk shows throughout the West.
